Ukraine's president told reporters in Kyiv he wanted to "have an understanding" of the protections his allies are willing to offer within seven to 10 days.

President Donald Trump Monday held a crucial meeting with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and a united front of European leaders at which he agreed to consider providing security guarantees to any peace deal after his controversial Alaska summit with Russian leader Vladimir Putin.

We are professionals, we know how to operate in the Black Sea, and we will focus on that. Our presence there will be full,” President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said. The President also noted that it is still unclear how many countries from the “coalition of the willing” will be able to provide concrete security guarantees to Ukraine.
