One of the multiple storylines during the Fayetteville Super Regional between Arkansas and Tennessee came from the head coaches. Tony Vitello once worked under Dave Van Horn, spending four seasons with the Razorbacks as an assistant.

Tennessee, much like the entire second half of this baseball season, just couldn’t quite put the pieces together this weekend in Fayetteville. The Volunteers dropped a must-win game No. 2 on Sunday afternoon as Arkansas got to Liam Doyle early on and never let up.

Tennessee baseball ended its season with 46 wins and a super regional appearance, but fell shy of returning to the College World Series.
