Four-star running back KJ Edwards from Carthage picked the Aggies over Texas, LSU and Alabama. According to 247Sports, Edwards is the No. 2-ranked running back in the country (47th overall) and the fifth-ranked prospect in the state.

Edwards is a 5-10, 180-pound running back rated as the No. 5 overall recruit in the state of Texas, and the No. 2 RB in the nation, per 247Sports. He’s ranked as the No. 47 recruit in the Class of 2026. That’s the highest-ranking commit landed by A&M thus far from 2026, slightly ahead of 4-star cornerback Victor Singleton (ranked No. 57).
