The Sacramento alt.metal kings are extending their touring plans into a full North American stint later this year, kicking off in Vancouver on August 22 and wrapping up in Kansas City on September 17. This time around they’ll be supported by Phantogram and IDLES at select dates, as well as The Barbarians Of California for the whole thing.

Deftones are in the midst of a big tour with The Mars Volta and Fleshwater that runs through next month, and they’ve now announced their plans for the summer and early fall: the next leg of their North American tour.

Deftones will return north for a pair of shows at Toronto's Rogers Stadium with System of a Down in September, before heading to Quebec City for a performance at Videotron Centre on September 7. The band will conclude their stint in Canada by hitting the stage at Montreal's Bell Centre a day later.
