Sonia Citron is playing well, but there isn't much of an argument for any player to surpass Paige Bueckers as Rookie of the Year front-runner.

With those back-to-back monthly honors, Bueckers is positioning herself as the favorite for WNBA Rookie of the Year. She continues to dominate the league's first-year players in minutes (34.4) and field goals made (6.8) while ranking first among her peers in assists per game (5.5).

The WNBA announced Monday that the Dallas Wings rookie earned Rookie of the Month honors for July. Bueckers, the No. 1 pick in the 2025 WNBA draft, also earned the accolade for June. She is the fourth newcomer in franchise history to secure Rookie of the Month honors twice and is the only rookie in the league to repeat this season.
