Exiting the game after two at-bats, Trout was replaced by right-handed outfielder Jo Adell. The Angels did not provide an official update during the game, but manager Ron Washington told reporters after the game that Trout had soreness in his knee and was removed as a precaution ( via Jeff Fletcher of SoCal News Group ).

Trout left Wednesday's game against the Seattle Mariners early with left knee soreness and is not in the lineup on Thursday.
