Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said nearly 50 crore devotees would have taken the sacred bath at the grand religious event.

Magh Purnima falls on the 15th or last date of the Shukla Paksha in the Magh month. It is known as Magh Purnima or Maghi Purnima. This year, Magh Purnima will be observed on Wednesday, February 12, 2025.

Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath, along with state government officials, monitored the Magh Purnima 'snan' at Triveni Sangam from his office on Wednesday, ensuring that the arrangements for the holy dip of lakhs of devotees were running smoothly.

Prayagraj is witnessing a massive surge in the number of Mahakumbh devotees on the occasion of Maghi Purnima Snan, one of the most sacred days to observe holy bath. Region near Mahakumbh has been declared as ‘no vehicle zone.

On Magh Purnima, the Kalpavasis took their final dip in the Triveni during Brahma Muhurat and then returned to their camps. After performing their rituals, over 10 lakh Kalpvasis bid farewell to the Mahakumbh and began their journey home.
