Israel’s military said it carried out a series of overnight strikes against Iran’s military infrastructure, adding more pressure on Tehran following the U.S. attack on its nuclear sites over the weekend.

Iran’s foreign minister Abbas Araghchi is preparing to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin, saying he expected their conversation to “be in the interests of both countries”. Araghchi said late on Sunday night that he would have “serious and important discussions” with Putin in Moscow.

Iran defended its right to self-defense, as President Trump doubled down on the claim that the strikes had caused “monumental damage” to Iranian nuclear sites.
