Reported at 1:30 PM, the fire is burning near Tom McCall Preserve and Mayer State Park. Interstate 84 is closed near The Dalles at milepost 78. Residents are urged to evacuate immediately.
Interstate 84 reopened early Thursday morning after it was closed for about 10 hours between Hood River and The Dalles. Highway 30 remains closed in both directions, one mile west of The Dalles.

I-84 was closed from milepost 64 to 82, and Highway 30 is closed from Rowena to milepost 82. The interstate reopened early Thursday morning.
