The crash deals a fresh blow to the beleaguered U.S. plane maker, which has been mired by safety and production issues in recent years.
Earlier on Thursday, a London Air India flight crashed in Ahmedabad at around 1.39 pm, killing 229 passengers and 12 crew members on board.
The technical investigation into the crash of Air India’s Boeing 787-8 aircraft operating flight AI-171 from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick is being conducted by the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB).
