As the dog days of summer approach, Sherman and Denison could see a reprieve from the summer heat this weekend.

The Sherman Symphony Orchestra is planning for its 60th season. The first concert of the season will be held in October.

The second back-to-school bash hosted by Beyond the Walls Outreach and T-Koolz is right around the corner. The event will begin at 2 p.m. Aug. 10 at Lucy Kidd-Key Park in Sherman.
