A new era of high-speed rail is coming to cities throughout the Northeast with the debut of Amtrak’s NextGen Acela trains.
Amtrak’s NextGen Acela, the nation’s latest high-speed rail service, will begin carrying passengers between Boston and Washington, DC.
The NextGen Acela trains will run with a top speed of 160 mph, out-speeding the current Acela fleet by 10 mph.
The trains will operate along the Northeast Corridor and will have faster speeds, upgraded WiFi and more comfortable seats, Amtrak said.
