Temperatures continue to slowly creep closer to 100 degrees in North Texas each afternoon. On Wednesday, temperatures topped out at 96 degrees, Thursday will be near 98 degrees and Friday will be the hottest day of the week, near 100 degrees.

On Wednesday at 11:55 a.m. a heat advisory was released by the NWS Fort Worth TX valid for Thursday between 1 p.m. and 8 p.m. The advisory is for Wise, Denton, Collin, Parker, Tarrant, Dallas, Hood, Johnson,

The high forecast for Dallas-Fort Worth on Tuesday is 95 degrees, according to the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office. It’s several degrees higher than the high temperature Monday of 91, but is actually still a little under the normal for early August of 97.
