BRIDGEWATER, N.J. — New York Yankees starting pitcher Marcus Stroman has changed his mind about reconsidering his role with the club. The right-hander said he would be open to pitching out of the bullpen when he returns from the injured list after declaring that he wouldn’t do it just a few months ago.

New York Yankees starting pitcher Marcus Stroman, who is rehabbing in the minor leagues after landing on the injured list on April 12 with left knee inflammation, said he'd be open to a bullpen role after previously dismissing the notion.

Marcus Stroman addressed the possibility of coming out of the bullpen for the Yankees after previously making clear he wants to be a starter.
