According to police, Ruiz and Rodney Finley were content creators who often livestreamed on their social media platforms from tourist attractions around Las Vegas. The 911 calls that were just made public include numerous people who witnessed the shooting in real-time while watching Finley's YouTube channel.

Two people were killed in a shooting on the Las Vegas Strip Sunday night in an apparent targeted killing that followed an online argument.

Manuel Ruiz, 41, turned himself in on June 9 and was taken into custody after he was suspected of shooting two victims in front of the famous fountains, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, LVMPD. Ruiz will be booked on two counts of open murder with a deadly weapon.
