An explosion rocked a cargo ship carrying coal in Baltimore, causing a fire and sending a stream of smoke into the sky but leaving no injuries, authorities said Monday evening.

Video posted to social media appears to show a cargo ship exploding in the Baltimore Harbor, near where the Baltimore Key Bridge collapsed in March 2024.

Baltimore County Fire has confirmed there has been an explosion on a coal freighter near the site of the Key Bridge.
