Two men were injured in a shooting on Friday afternoon in the Avondale neighborhood on Chicago's Northwest Side, police stated.

At least one other person was killed and eight others were wounded in weekend shootings across Chicago as of Saturday. The ages of the victims range from 6 to 50. In the first shooting of the weekend, a 20-year-old man was shot in his lower leg just before 6 p.m. in the 1400 block of South Kedvale Avenue.

CHICAGO - A man was found critically wounded with a gunshot to the neck early Thursday in Chicago's Burnside neighborhood. Officers responded to a call around 2:09 a.m. in the 700 block of East 90th Street and found a 35-year-old man lying on the ground outside, according to Chicago police.
