For years, one of the worst-kept secrets in gaming was the rumored “Switch Pro,”a mid-console update to the Nintendo Switch akin to the PlayStation 4 Pro orXbox One X that would increase the system’s hardware capabilities.

Fast Fusion is a sci-fi arcade racer that wears its influences proudly. It loves Wipeout and the 3D F-Zero games, and it wants little more than to bring their ideas into modern times. Fortunately, those games ruled, so there are much worse inspirations to rip from.

The entire point is to show off the Switch 2’s capabilities. Nintendo “prioritizes” games that “take advantage” of the Switch 2’s hardware. This could be showing off games running at 4K resolution and 60 fps or titles that support the Joy-Con 2 mouse mode.
