Neymar’s move from Al-Hilal to Brazilian club Santos means the Saudi Pro League has lost one of its most high-profile players.

Neymar has reached an agreement to rejoin boyhood club Santos on a six-month contract after leaving Al Hilal. It was announced on January 27 that the 32-year-old had agreed to a mutual termination of his contract with the Saudi Pro League side.

The contract was mutually terminated… Mega club Al-Hilal first announced that they’d be bringing Neymar over to the Saudi Pro League from Paris Saint-Germain F.C. back in August 2023 as the team’s superstar forward.

Neymar and Al-Hilal have come to an agreement to terminate the player’s contract by mutual consent, the club announced on Monday.

The former Barcelona and PSG star joins Santos as a free agent after his release from his Al-Hilal contract. Neymar is set to sign an initial short-term deal with Santos. He said: "I just can't hold it in until tomorrow - I'll sign the contract at Santos.
