As we look ahead to the weekend, the jet stream will continue to flex slightly north and south of New England, prodding a couple more fast-moving storms to push into the region Friday and then again Sunday night. That will definitely make Saturday the pick of the weekend.

An earthquake​ just off Maine today was felt in Boston and into Connecticut, Vermont and New Hampshire, according to a "shake map."

A magnitude 3.8 earthquake shook parts of New England early Monday morning, striking approximately 7 miles southeast of York Harbor, Maine. According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the quake hit at a depth of roughly 8 miles, rattling the region from Boston to Portland, Maine.

A moderate earthquake reported four miles offshore from Portsmouth was strong enough to rattle Concord and much of eastern New England on Monday morning and was felt as far away as Pennsylvania.
