Joe Biden’s longtime press secretary has quit the Democratic party and is writing a tell-all book about her time in the White House, in another blow to a party still reeling from its defeat to Donald Trump in November.

The posts kicked off a kerfuffle within the Republican ranks: Members like Kentucky’s Sen. Rand Paul and Rep. Thomas Massie publicly backed Musk, while GOP leadership quickly went on the defensive, with House Speaker Mike Johnson saying Musk is “terribly wrong” about the bill. Trump has largely, and suspiciously, stayed out of it.

President Trump is gearing up for what a senior White House official said will be an "all-out advocacy effort" to push Republican senators to advance the bill their House colleagues passed last month.

Trump's influence in the golf world was also prominent during Public Investment Fund, the main investor in LIV Golf, merger discussions. In February, he hosted a White House meeting with PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan and PIF Governor Yasir Al-Rumayyan, aiming to push the stalled deal forward.
