Butler took to social media after news broke about his trade and new contract extension with the Warriors with a clip of a mysterious country music song ( potentially one of his own since he’s pursuing the genre ).

The Golden State Warriors finally made good on one of their star pursuits on Wednesday by landing Jimmy Butler in a four-team trade with the Miami Heat, Utah Jazz and Detroit Pistons, as confirmed by CBS Sports NBA insider Bill Reiter.

Normally, NBA locker rooms are open to reporters for a 45-minute window pregame, but on Wednesday night, the Golden State Warriors raised alarm bells that they might have a deal imminent on the eve of the NBA trade deadline when they kicked all the reporters out so that Steve Kerr could address the team privately ahead of their matchup with the Utah Jazz.
