The trilateral meeting between the U.S. delegation headed by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Ukraine and Turkey started Friday following a day of confusion on Thursday.

Trump said he wants a face-to-face meeting with his Russian counterpart as soon as possible, after insisting that Ukraine peace talks would not progress without that.
