Michigan Panthers running back Toa Taua joined Local 4 News to chat about the team’s special season, beating the defending champs in the semifinals, and what it would mean to bring a title to a city that is hungry for a football championship.

The Michigan Panthers hope to defeat the D.C. Defenders this weekend to claim the franchise's first UFL title.

The Panthers (7-4) are led by coach Mike Nolan, who is in his third season coaching Michigan. Nolan spent 34 seasons as an NFL coach prior to joining the UFL. He mostly served as a defensive coordinator, though he was the head coach of the San Francisco 49ers from 2005 until being fired during the 2008 season.
