Venture capital giant Andreessen Horowitz has hired Daniel Penny, a Marine veteran who became a national figure after he used a chokehold on an agitated subway rider.

Daniel Penny, the Marine veteran acquitted in the subway chokehold death of Jordan Neely, has landed a new job in Silicon Valley. He’s been hired by Andreessen Horowitz, a venture capital firm, according to his profile on the company’s website.

Powerhouse venture firm Andreessen Horowitz has hired Daniel Penny as an investor, its webpage confirms. Penny is the former Marine who was tried last year and found not guilty of criminally negligent homicide in the death of a homeless man on a New York City subway.
