Firefighters battled a 50-acre brush fire burning in remote Riverside County on Sunday. The Mindy Fire was first reported at around 4 p.m. near Decoursey Road and Minday Lane, east of Sage and north of Aguanga,

Juniper Fire initially started today at 11:28 a.m. in Riverside County, California. As of Monday noon, it had destroyed 111.1 acres, an increase of 111 acres since the last update. The blaze remains uncontained and and is still spreading by Monday noon.

Nicole Comstock reports from Perris, close to where the 700-acre Juniper Fire burned on Monday. Though they've started to gain containment, firefighters expect to remain on scene overnight.
