Kia unveiled the EV4, PV5, and Concept EV2 at the brand’s EV day in Tarragona, Spain on 27 March. The three new models define Kia’s latest phase of its electrification strategy. The Kia PV5 is the first vehicle from the brand’s new Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) strategy.

The Kia PV5 is set to debut in Korea and Europe in the latter half of 2025, with a wider global rollout planned for 2026. Pre-orders are anticipated to open in the first half of 2025.

With the PV5, Kia has declared its intention to compete with heavy hitters like the Volkswagen ID Buzz, Ford E-Transit, Mercedes eSprinter, and Ram ProMaster EV. There are very few electric vans on the market today, but that looks to be changing with these new entrants.
