The Powerball jackpot soared to $650 million for the Wednesday, Aug. 20, drawing after no one won the grand prize on Monday, Aug. 18. If someone matches all five numbers and the Powerball, they can choose a one-time cash payment of $293.8 million.

While nobody won the Powerball grand prize in the most recent drawing, someone who bought a ticket in the Palmetto State was one number away from collecting a $565 million jackpot, according to South Carolina Education Lottery officials.
