Hundreds of thousands of customers in the Pittsburgh area were left without power after powerful storms ripped through downtown Pittsburgh and the greater Western Pennsylvania region late Tuesday afternoon,

PITTSBURGH — Two hundred thousand Duquesne Light customers are back in service, but tens of thousands remain in the dark. Pittsburgh Mayor Ed Gainey says 82,000 customers in the city alone are without power. Among them, neighbors along Bon Air Avenue in Bon Air.

Thousands were without power in Pittsburgh area on Tuesday. According to the Duquesne Light Company power outage map, more than 200,000 customers were affected.
