According to MLB insider John Denton, the Red Sox and Cardinals have continued trade discussions, with top prospect Blaze Jordan emerging as a potential piece in the deal. Jordan, 22, was drafted in the third round of the 2020 MLB Draft and has shown promise as a power-hitting corner infielder.

The Red Sox could move forward with Arenado at third, Devers as their DH and Casas at first base for the three years remaining on Arenado’s contract without disrupting anything related to the development of Campbell, Marcelo Mayer or Roman Anthony.
