Former Rudder standout Hunter Dobbins, who had helped the Boston Red Sox early this season with some solid starting pitching, had surgery to repair a torn right ACL on Tuesday. The right-hander was injured July 11 in the second inning against Tampa Bay after landing awkwardly when making a play while covering first base.
