Temperatures of up to 110 degrees are triggering a heat advisory in Austin, San Antonio, Eagle Pass and Dell Rio starting on Tuesday, May 13.
Temps have been even warmer this morning, despite a breezy start. Onshore winds continue to bring warm and increasingly humid conditions to the Coastal Bend, making our near-record heat harder to beat. Wednesday highs will reach the mid-90s with gusty winds.
Forecasters said temperatures "will be very close to daily records in the valleys."KCAL News issued a Next Weather Alert as a heat advisory will be in effect through 9 p.m. Saturday for the Santa Clarita Valley,
"It will feel hot and dry initially before eventually becoming muggy and possibly even downright oppressive across the area," read a forecast discussion from the weather service. "Multiple records in jeopardy of being broken," it added.
San Antonio is bracing for an early heat wave this week, weeks ahead of when the city usually sees 100 degrees for the first time.
At 8:31 p.m. on Friday, the NWS San Diego CA released an updated heat advisory valid for Saturday between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m. for San Diego County Inland Valleys.
