Dallas-Fort Worth will be sunny but chilly Monday before an arctic cold front prompts an extreme weather watch.

"Make sure all your outside faucets are covered. You can buy the Styrofoam covers. Everybody has seen them. You can put them on outside to make sure that helps. If you don't have that available, wrap some blankets and tape them on," Crowson said.

Most of Texas will not see wintry precipitation as an arctic cold front surges through the state, but there are a few exceptions.
