Boston Red Sox manager Alex Cora provides a positive update on Wilyer Abreu, announcing that he's on track to return for the San Francisco Giants series starting June 20th.

Boston placed Abreu on the IL Monday and promoted top Roman Anthony from Triple-A Worcester. Next Thursday (an off day before a series in San Francisco) is the first day he is eligible to return.

Cora has long held a philosophy of pinch hitting for rookies against left-handed relievers or sitting them against lefty starters.
