The Stefon Diggs experience reportedly isn’t going well in New England. Shortly after a tense exchange Thursday with Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel over the star receiver’s Week 1 availability, NBC Sports Boston’s Phil Perry shed a bit more light on a new marriage that’s already on shaky ground.

Currently, DeMario “Pop” Douglas is Drake Maye’s top receiver, and favorite go-to-guy. Maye is also making use of Boutte, Mack Hollins, and his tight ends Hunter Henry and Austin Hooper as well as his backs, TreVeyon Henderson and Antonio Gibson.

Diggs had 18 snaps in competitive 11-on-11 work — most of which came inside the Vikings’ 20-yard line — but didn’t have a catch on the day. (He was not targeted.)
