The Montreal Canadiens started off sluggish in Seattle after a win the night before in Vancouver, but found their legs and made it overtime before losing to the Kraken.

Brandon Mountour had the fastest goal in NHL overtime history, scoring his second goal of the game four seconds into overtime to give the Seattle Kraken a 5-4 comeback victory over the Montreal Canadiens on Wednesday night.

Seattle center Chandler Stephenson was credited with an assist on that goal after he directed the puck instantly to Montour following the face-off to start the overtime. Without anyone between him and Montreal goalie Jakub Dobes, the 30-year-old Montour took full advantage of the setup, firing a powerful shot that Dobes simply failed to stop.
