The CIA has sent the White House an unclassified email listing all new hires that have been with the agency for two years or less in an effort to comply with an executive order to downsize the federal workforce,

The CIA listed all employees hired in the past two years, to comply with an executive order to shrink the workforce. Ex-officials call it a security risk.

To comply with Trump’s order to shrink the federal workforce, the CIA sent an unclassified email with the names of new staffers, a U.S. official said.

Two sources told NBC News that the White House is preparing an executive order to eliminate the Department of Education. NBC News’ Gabe Gutierrez reports on the order that could come in February, following up on a promise President Donald Trump made during his campaign.
