The Arakan Army fights Myanmar's military for Rakhine control, seizing territory and isolating the capital Sittwe.

The Myanmar air force has bombed a fishing village in Rakhine state killing 41 civilians and wounding 52, most of them Rohingya Muslims, residents involved in rescue work said on Thursday, in an attack insurgents condemned as a war crime.

The airstrike on Kyauknimaw also injured at least 20 residents and destroyed around 500 homes in its northern, southern and central wards and close to the main market. Among the victims were women, children, and elderly residents, according to locals.
