The 20th anniversary of the God of War series is upon us, and PlayStation has just announced a range of new merch and updates to celebrate – but, sadly, the announcements do not include the long-awaited remaster of the original PS2 and PS3 games.

PlayStation has announced plans to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the God of War franchise. The celebration will include new in-game content for God of War Ragnarok, new merchandise, and a physical art exhibition. Players of God of War Ragnarok will be able to claim the new free Dark Odyssey Collection from March 20.

Santa Monica Studio has shared a new set of classic skins, weapons, and items will be added to God of War Ragnarok next week to celebrate the iconic series' 20th anniversary. For PS5 and PS4, a free patch will introduce a Dark Odyssey Collection that contains a skin inspired by one from God of War 2 that you got for beating it on God Mode.

Celebrating two decades, the studio remains one of the mainstays of PlayStation Studios, with high expectations for its next project.
