The National Weather Service issued an ice storm warning​ for parts of the area and winter weather advisories for other areas in western Pennsylvania.

Colder temperatures north of Route 422 and east in the higher elevations of Westmoreland, Fayette and Indiana counties will allow more ice to form and could create the threat for downed trees and power lines.

Winter weather watches have been issued as a significant ice storm is expected to hit the Pittsburgh area in the coming days. Any Alert Days Ahead? Yes. Wednesday and Thursday are First Alert Weather Days due to the ice storm.
