Marcus Semien was hit in the head by a pitch, stayed in the game and then walked off Saturday’s game for the Texas Rangers.

Texas Rangers second baseman Marcus Semien stayed in the game and scored on a go-ahead singleafter taking a 94.6 mph fastball off the ear flap of his batting helmet against Atlanta.

The bad arrived first, in the third inning when the Texas Rangers second baseman took a 94.6 mph fastball to the head from Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Grant Holmes. The ball appeared to glance off his helmet and into his face, leaving him in clear pain as trainers attended to him.
