Houston Texans' head coach DeMeco Ryans did not hold back when asked about the recent injury reports on running back Joe Mixon.

Houston Texans running back Joe Mixon, who was placed on the non-football injury list on July 23, will miss an extended period of time while dealing with a foot injury, according to Ian Rapoport. Mixon, 29, has been dealing with the setback for the past several months and will be reevaluated closer to the start of the season.

Houston's 2024 Pro Bowl running back is now expected to miss most, if not all, of training camp. His status for the season opener at the Los Angeles Rams is now in doubt. Mixon starred in his debut year for the Texans with 1,325 yards from scrimmage and 12 touchdowns. It's now unclear when he'll find the end zone again in a Texans uniform.
