Aaron Sorkin is plotting a return to Facebook. The screenwriter behind The Social Network has written a sequel script he intends to direct as a feature for Sony, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

Sorkin, who wrote the Oscar-winning 2010 movie about Mark Zuckerberg and the birth of Facebook, is now inspired by a Wall Street Journal article series.

The sequel to "The Social Network" will examine Facebook's impact on youth mental health, misinformation, and more.
