Sunday's playoff matchup against the Packers is a rematch of the season opener in Brazil, where the Eagles won 34-29.

The Eagles surpassed the Packers 34-29 in the NFL’s first-ever Brazil game in Week 1. Packers signal-caller Jordan Love went down with a sprained MCL on the final drive and missed the following two games. Malik Willis filled in at quarterback and led the Packers to back-to-back wins.

This season, the Packers forced 31 takeaways, the fourth most in the NFL. Safety Xavier McKinney, who earned a 2024 first-team All-Pro nod in his first season in Green Bay, co-led the NFL with nine takeaways this season, eight interceptions, and one fumble recovery.

While the Packers won more regular season games and improved in almost every meaningful statistical category, the disappointing finish — featuring three straight losses — greatly tarnished the second year of the Love era and left the Packers stuck somewhere between “good” and “great” entering the 2025 offseason.

The Green Bay Packers sure didn’t like the way things ended for them in 2024-25. Of course, any team that doesn’t win the Super Bowl can say that each and every NFL season, but there was something extra disappointing about the way this Packers season ended in a whimper.
