Eric Adams adviser who gave reporter potato chip bag stuffed with cash is suspended from campaign
Winnie Greco was outed by news outlet The City for trying to give cash surreptitiously tucked inside a Herr's Sour Cream & Onion ripple potato chip bag to one of its reporters.
Greco, when reached by The Post heading to her car in the Bronx, launched into a baffling explanation for giving cash to giving the bag to The City reporter Katie Honan.
The money, tucked in a red envelope in the bag, was a “gesture of affection,” the volunteer’s lawyer said.
Mayor Eric Adams of New York has sought to argue that his first-term wins have earned him the right to serve a second. But he cannot shake the stench of corruption around his administration.
Never mind “If you see something, say something” — Mayor Eric Adams actually wants New Yorkers to do something. More specifically, he wants a revival of Good Samaritans who rise to the occasion when fellow New Yorkers are in trouble.
