Epic Games will be receiving $175,000 from a gamer who was caught cheating in Fortnite, with the case possibly having wide implications on gaming industry.

"Fortnite" is one of the most popular video games of all time, and it's turned developer Epic Games into one of the largest companies on the planet. The free-to-play battle royale game has become a platform and ecosystem of its own,

The federal agency also said it will reopen its claims portal for payments that stem from a record 2022 settlement it reached with Cary’s Epic Games.
