The Commanders have five picks in the 2025 NFL draft. They head into draft night without a third-round pick, but own the Texans ' fourth-round pick as a result of the Tunsil trade. Washington is also lacking a fifth-round selection thanks to their deal with the 49ers for Samuel.

The defensive side of the ball still has some glaring holes, including at edge rusher and cornerback. The Commanders lost defensive end Dante Fowler Jr., last year’s sack leader, via free agency.
